Look delicious, is sweet and sour chicken cubes???!!! Very colourful dishes, my family love it.
My son was so eager to eat my new dish for tonight. He was comment "Mommy, this is delicious!". Follow by husband, he like the dish very much because it was sweet and sour and the meat was chewy.
I didn't say a word until at the second scoop that my husband put in his mouth and he ask me "what meat is this?"

I laugh out loud! It was MUSHROOM!! Gotcha!! Yes, it was King Oyster Mushroom.
I coated the mushroom with flour and fried it. It really looks and taste like meat! It is a very delicious vegetarian dish.
Here's the recipe...
1 pack of king oyster mushroom
1 red capsicum
1 cucumber
1 onion
1/2 cup ketchup / tomato sauce
1 tsp oyster sauce
2-3 tsp white vinegar
4 tsp sugar
4 tbsp all purpose flour
1/2 tbsp corn starch
1/3 tsp salt
water
- King oyster mushroom, capsicum, cucumber and onion, all cut to cubes
- Prepare flour mixture for kig oyster mushroom, mix flour, corn starch and salt. Add appropriate water and whisk to thick flour mixture.
- Add in king oyster mushroom cubes and let it coat with the flour mixture
- Heat pan with oil, until high heat. Add in coated mushroom cubes to fry until golden brown. Drain and set aside.
- Remain some oil in the pan, saute onions until translucent, add in ketchup, vinegar, sugar and oyster sauce until the sauce is thicken and bubbling.
- Off the heat, immediate add in fried mushroom, cucumber and capsicum. Stir to let all coated with the sauce.
- Dish out and serve!
