donut / doughnut day 甜甜圈


Today is doughnut day for us. I prepare it for our brunch and we have a lot of fun to decorate it.
My son also take part to decorate the cute doughnuts. He runs to me to ask for if he can join me for doughnut decoration. Haha.. happy that he like to participate on this snack. 

Actually this is my very first doughnut making. I always wanted to avoid frying foods because it need to use a lot of oil and very heat-ty for us. Anyway this doughnut recipe did not disappointed me, it is soft and tasty.




Original recipe need a lot of liquid but in my experience, it will be too sticky to handle. So I always not to pour all the liquid into the mixture or else I may need a lot of flour to form it into a nice dough.




ingredients: (make 9 pcs)

1/2 cup water (may need less, do not pour all)

1 large egg
50g sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1-1/2 tsp instant yeast
1 tbsp oil / melted butter
2 cups all purpose flour

配料: (使9个)

半杯水(可能需要较少,不倒全部)
1个大鸡蛋
50克糖
1/2茶匙盐
1-1 / 2茶匙即食酵母粉
1大匙油/酥油

2杯多用途面
  • combine all ingredients in a bowl to form a dough. 将所有配料放入碗中,形成面团。
  • proof dough in an greased bowl in 1 hour. 把面团发酵在抹油的碗发酵1小时。

 
  • press out air, flatten on a working surface, dust with flour if sticky. 压出空气,如果粘在工作面上撒上面粉。

 
  • divide dough into 9 pcs & form in ball shape. let sit for 10 minutes. 面团分割成9个及在球形形成。坐10分钟。

 
  • put a finger at the center of the ball to make a hole, shape to doughnut shape. 把一个手指在球的中心作一个孔,形状上的甜甜圈形状。

 
  • fry with oil. 油

  
  
  • decorate as you wish. 装饰
