My family like drink soup, especially my husband. He is a super soup fan, he can drink a very big bowl of soup during meal time! A very healthy and delicious soup yet very simple and easy to make.
300g pork bone "lower spine" area - will make the soup more sweet & meat more tender
lotus root, cut to 1/2 inch thick
arrowroot 粉葛, cut to 1/2 inch thick
some red dates
1/2 piece of dry squid
2-3 liters of water
2 tsp salt
- clean pork bone, boil the bone with water & let simmer in low heat for 1 hour
- add lotus root, arrowroot, red dates & dry squid, boil for another 40 minutes
- add salt to taste and let simmer for another 20 minutes
