aloo gobi (stir-fried cauliflower & potatoes with spices) 香料炒花菜和土豆


Aloo gobi is a dry Pakistani, Indian and Nepali cuisine dish made with potatoes (aloo), cauliflower (gob(h)i) and Indian spices. (adapted from Wikipedia)


Taste so good if you like spices on your dish. First time try it out and it was good to try!



ingredients: (serve 2-3 pax)

1 small cauliflower (medium flowlets)
2 medium potatoes (cubes)
1 tsp coriander powder
1/2 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp curry powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/3 cup water
3 cloves garlic (minced)
1/2 inch ginger (minced)
  1. mix coriander, cumin, curry powder & salt with 1 tbsp of water
  2. add some cooking oil on pan & start sautee garlic & ginger
  3. add potatoes & cauliflower, stir fry for 2 minutes
  4. add in curry mixture, stir well to let all potatoes & cauliflower were coated
  5. add 1/3 cup of water, cover & let simmer for 2 minutes
  6. check & continue stir fry the veges, cover until water getting lesser, be careful not to burn
  7. serve!
