beef noodle soup 牛肉面


Yummy beef noodle soup for the day! Clear beef soup with home made noodles, simply delicious! Click homemade noodle for the recipe!


This is my little baby portion, no chilies flakes, with some baby pak choy and some beef cubes. 



Big bowl for my husband, medium bowl for me! See the difference? We really had a full stomach that day! Definitely will cook it again!


ingredients for the beef soup: (serve 3-4 pax)

beef (cut to 1/2 inch thick strips or cube)
1 star anise
1 tsp sichuan pepper
1 bay leaf
1-1/2 inch cinnamon stick
2 litre water
2-3 tsp salt
2 tsp sugar
pinch of pepper
1/2 cubes of beef stock cubes
  1. to prepare of beef noodles:soak the cut beef cubes with water for half an hour to remove the "blood water"
  2. in a pot, heat some oil then add in star anise, sichuan pepper, bay leaf, cinnamon stick, fry until fragrant
  3. pour in water and add beef cubes
  4. high heat until boil, turn to low heat, let simmer for 2-1/2 hours or until beef is tender & soft
  5. add seasoning, salt, sugar & pepper
牛肉(切成1/2英寸厚的条状或粒)
1八角
1茶匙花椒
1月桂叶
1-1 / 2英寸的肉桂棒
2升水
2-3茶匙盐
2茶匙糖
胡椒少许

1/2牛肉汤料块

  1. 准备牛肉面:浸泡切牛肉块加水半小时,除去“血水”
  2. 在一个锅里,加热一些油,然后加入八角,花椒,月桂叶,肉桂棒,爆香
  3. 倒入水,加入牛肉块
  4. 高热,直至烧开,转小火,让小火煮2-1 / 2小时,直到牛肉细嫩柔软
  5. 加入调味料,盐,糖和胡椒粉

heat a big pot of water, until boil

add in pak choy, cook for 3 minutes & drain. Set a side

let boil the water again, cook homemade noodles until noodles is floating
  
prepare a large bowl, add 2 tbsp oil and place the drained cooked noodles

stir to make sure all cooked noodles were coated with oil. Finally, place cooked noodles on your bowl & garnish with pak choy & chilies flakes. Pour the beef soup into your bowl & enjoy!
