white radish meat balls 白萝卜小丸子


I never knew that white radish can be make into delicious and crispy white radish meat balls, thanks to the internet. I visited a chinese webpage, forgot which one, but I try out the combination of white radish, meat & others ingredients and created this yummy fried meat balls.



I make this thai style sweet & sour chili sauce for the dipping! The combination was so match and tasty! I think this dish can be our favourites house dish in the future. Simple ingredients, just combine all ingredients and fry!

ingredients:

1 big size white radish (about 10-12 inches)
1 large egg
200-300g minced pork
3/4 cup all purpose flour
1 tbsp tapioca flour
1/3 tsp baking powder
salt & white pepper to taste
  1. peel the radish skin, shredded into tiny strips
  2. add some salt to the radish, set aside for 5-10 minutes
  3. squeeze out the water from white radish, chop radish strips into smaller pieces, set aside
  4. in a big mixing bowl, add all ingredients & mix well to combine & shape into balls, line on a baking pan
  5. heat up 3 cups of oil in a frying pan, once oil become hot, add in radish balls to fry until golden brown
  6. serve with thai style sweet & sour chili sauce
