It was our birthday again, had to make a cake to celebrate also my son requested to have a cake for our birthday. Because he want to blow the candles! haha
Just in right time, had 3 ripe bananas in my kitchen, so I decided to make a banana cake as our birthday cake this year. I really seldom decorate cake, just think to decorate it as simple as possible but hubby wanna make it a bit fancy. Haha.. I'll try my best....
ingredients for cake: (make 1 x 8" cake)
3 ripe bananas
100g butter, soften at room temperature
2/3 cup fine sugar (original recipe call for 1 cup)
1-1/2 cup all purpose flour
1-1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp fine salt
mash bananas, set a side |
sift dry ingredients, flour, baking soda & salt |
start cream butter & sugar until pale & fluffy |
add eggs & mashed bananas add dry sifted dry ingredients, fold to well combine |
divide batter into 2, bake at 180C for 30 minutes or insert a wooden skewer & come out dry & clean |
looking beautiful in golden brown colour let cool for 30 minutes before apply frosting |

70g powder sugar
100g white chocolate
some fresh grapes
some chocolate chips
