grilled chicken chop & pasta 美味鸡扒意粉

Cooking western food sometimes is very tiring but if you prepare the side dish earlier then it would be much more easier and faster. I wonder how if I going to cook for 10 people? Must be very very tiring! So early preparation is very important! haha..

Mushroom gravy is always our top choice if compare with black pepper gravy for chicken chop. We dine in at a restaurant in Damansara Jaya recently and the western food stall is very tasty. I like the way they cook and they serve with pasta and fries. Sometimes I "steal" some "trick" from them and try to cook them at home. Meaning "steal" is keep on looking how they cook the dish. Sometimes they (the cook) will wonder why this women keep on looking at them! : D

I cook chicken chop many times but this is the most successful one. The chicken chop is so tasty, so tender and also so buttery! To lower my guilt on the "fry" issue and adding so much of butter into my cooking, so I make it more healthier look by adding boiled broccoli and stir fry pasta. haha...

For chicken chop:

2 boneless chicken drumstick
a pinch of salt and black pepper
1 tbsp butter
some cooking oil

  1. clean chicken and drain.
  2. rub chicken with salt and pepper.
  3. heat pan with cooking oil, place chicken skin down and add in butter at between both chicken.
  4. cover pan and let fry until both side become golden brown.
  5. put cooked chicken in plate, remain 1/4 of the oil in pan for gravy.
