easy sponge cake 海绵蛋糕


This is a very basic sponge cake. Easy way as it's do not need to separate eggs. Here's a picture I found that was using this recipe but is a chocolate sponge cake instead of plain sponge cake.


Sorry for not to have any picture of the cakes because I always eager to decorate the cake and forgot to taken any picture of it.

ingredients: (make 1 x 7" round pan)

75g all purpose flour / 60g AP flour + 15g cocoa powder
75g castor sugar
3 eggs (large)
15g oil / butter
  1. preheat oven 180℃.
  2. melt butter.
  3. combine eggs & sugar, whisk until mixture is thicken.
  4. slowly fold in flour & melted butter.
  5. bake for 20 minutes or insert a wooden skewer & come out clean.
