spring onion Ccinese pizza 葱油饼




Crispy & tasty snack to make. 


I have a bunch of spring onion in the refrigerator so I decided to find a recipe to make used of it. This is what I found, spring onion chinese pizza. Recipe adapted from 周老师。My own comment is a bit like "roti canai" with spring onion.



Ingredients: (makes 2 x 8 inches medium pizza/pancake)

100g spring onion

1/4 tsp salt

200g flour

1/4 tsp salt
110g hot water
50g  cold water
3 tbsp cooking oil



  1. Mixed well spring onion with salt and set aside.
  2. Mix flour and salt then put in hot water and stir well with a spatula. Finally put in cold water and mix well to form a dough.
  3. Put out the dough on an oiled surface and start kneading. Add more oil if dough still sticky to your hand. Knead about 5 minutes until you get smooth surface.
  4. Divide dough into 2, roll out dough into a thin & rectangular shape. Sprinkle with some salty spring onion onto the dough as photo shown and roll up like the picture shown. Flatten the rolled dough and ready to pan fry.
  5. Heat up a big pan with oil, place the flatten dough into pan and grill into golden brown and crispy.
  6. Cut into shapes and serve.
