belgium chocolate cake 比利时巧克力蛋糕




Very easy to make sponge cake, adapted from Daily Delicious. This is my second time on piping decoration. Still need a lot of practice.






ingredients: (make one 15cm round cake)

2 large eggs
50g  sugar
30g  cake flour
7g cocoa powder
20ml whipping cream
a pinch of salt

1. Preheat oven at 180C.
2. Grease and line cake pan.
3. Sift flour, cocoa powder & salt. Set aside.
4. Whisk egg then add sugar gradually. Beat until thick.
5. Scoop out 1/4 cup of batter, fold in whipping cream.
6. Add flour into egg batter. Fold well.
7. Mixed whipping cream batter then fold into egg + flour batter.
8. Bake 10-12 minutes.



For cake frosting:



Ingredients:

1 cup Whipping cream
1 tbsp fine sugar

1. Whisk cream and sugar in high speed until batter peak. Lift out batter without dropping.
