figs with chinese yam chicken soup 無花果淮山鸡汤



Nutrition soup, taste natural sweet from figs and dates. It helps to nourishes "yin" and moistens the lungs, strengthens the spleen and improves appetite. Very suitable for kids.



Ingredients: (2-3 pax)

10 Figs 無花果

200g Fresh or 5 pcs dried Chinese Yam淮山
3 Black Dates 南枣
30g Solomonseal Rhizome 玉竹
a handful Wolfberries 杞子
Whole Chicken bones and chicken feets 鸡骨肉和鸡爪
Pinch of salt
2 litre water

  1. cleans all ingredients and herbs.
  2. fill soup pot with water and add chicken bones and feets to boil. Let simmer for 1/2 hour at medium low heat.
  3. after 1 hour, add all herbs except wolfberries into the chicken soup. Let simmer for another 1 hour.
  4. at the last 10 minites, add in wolfberries and add salt to taste. (add wolfberries at last to prevent soup become sour)
  5. serve warm.
