Home made Char Siew, crunch at the out side and tender tender inside. Best serve with homemade wan ton mee or a bowl of rice.

ingredients:-
2 strips of pork belly
Marinate sauce:
2 tbsp Hoi Sin Sauce
2 tbsp light soy sauce
2 tsp dark soy sauce
1 tsp soy bean paste
2 tbsp wheat sprout sugar 麦芽糖
1 tsp five spice powder
1 tsp sesame oil
1 cup sugar
1. Combine all marinate ingredients in a bowl and stir well.
2. Put in pork belly and marinate for at least 3 hours before roasting.
3. Preheat oven to 250C, put marinated pork belly onto a wire rack.
4. Constantly take out the meat for a bath (brush with the marinate sauce).
5. Roasting time is depends on the size & thickness of your pork belly. Mine around half an hour.
