marmite chicken 马麦鸡




What you can do with a jar of marmite? You can use marmite to cook this delicious marmite chicken. This is very common dish in chinese restaurant in Malaysia.


ingredients:
chicken whole leg, debone & cut into cubes
4 tbsp tapioca starch
salt & pepper to taste
1 tbsp marmite
3 tbsp water
4 tbsp sugar
oil for fry
some roasted sesame seeds for garnishing


*clean chicken, add salt & pepper to slightly marinate the chicken before frying
*add in tapioca starch, rub onto chicken evenly

 

*heat oil in a deep pan, fry the chicken until golden brown & crispy


 
*mix marmite with water & sugar
*heat pan, pour marmite mixture into pan to let it boil & become slightly thicken.


*high heat, add the fried chicken into the gravy, make sure all chicken is coated with the the marmite gravy.
*garnish coated fried chicken with sesame seeds & serve
